Unfortunately, though, bottled spring water often contains as much or more sodium as table salt (depending on the brand). 

In contrast to spring water, distilled water is purer and contains no minerals or other impurities. However, because distilled water does not contain any beneficial minerals, some health experts recommend drinking only small amounts. Distilled water can also have a slightly flat taste compared to other types of natural water.

A two-stage system can remove particles as small as .01 microns (compared to .02 microns for most standard municipal filters), providing protection against most waterborne pathogens. In contrast, many common bottled drinks of water contain up to five times more total dissolved solids (TDS) than the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency deems safe, due in part to their heavy mineral content.

It Has A Low Environmental Impact

Compared to soft drinks and fruit juices, bottled water has a low environmental impact. Bottled water can be made in bulk and safely transported in reusable containers, while other drinks require packaging like cans or bottles which aren’t biodegradable. 

Plastic bottles are also lighter than glass bottles, so if you’re packing your own lunch to bring to work every day, you can lighten your load by swapping bottled water. And with as many as 500 plastic bottles used for one gallon of milk, there are plenty of good reasons to switch over to drinking water.

Better For Our Planet (The Earth)

Natural water is better for our planet. It takes roughly 1,500 liters of clean, potable water to produce one liter of bottled H2O. That’s about 1 million times more than what would have been used to fill up a bottle at your kitchen sink. 

Natural waters also come in recyclable packaging which means less plastic cluttering our landfills and oceans. Studies show that many plastic bottles contain harmful chemicals like BPA which can leach into your water when it’s exposed to heat or sunlight.
